Admissions

Admission to St. Luke's School :

St. Luke's welcomes children of all faiths. The policies and activities of the school are controlled and guided by the Vestry of St Luke's. The staff is under the overall supervision of the Rector through the head of the school. Full cooperation exists with public authorities relative to school attendance, health examinations and other matters that concern the welfare of the school and community.

Applications and Admissions Procedure:

An official application must be completed and returned with all one time fees before a child can be placed on the list for enrollment. Upon acceptance all enrollees will need to bring with them all documentation listed at the bottom of this page. All forms need to be turned in no later than the first day of school.

Minimum Age Requirements:

Toddlers (30-36months)

         Must be 30 months old to enroll at any time during the school year.  The children do   not need to be potty trained.            

Pre-Kindergarten class (3 years old)

Must be 3 years old on or before September 15 and independent with bathroom needs ( no pull-ups).

Junior Kindergarten (4 years olds)

Must be 4 years old on or before September 15.

Senior Kindergarten (5 years olds)

Must be 5 years old on or before September 15.

Primary Classes

First Grade-Must be 6 years old on or before September 15.

Second Grade-Must be 7 years old on or before September 15.

 

Birth Certificates and Social Security Cards

Birth certificates and  social security cards are required of all students entering St. Luke's.

Vaccinations

Act 633 passed by the 1973 Legislation amended Act 244 of 1967, requires that all children are to be immunized from Poliomyelitis, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Red (Rubella) Measles, German (Rubella) Measles, Hepatitis B, and Chicken Pox before entering public or private schools of this state. No child shall be admitted until documentation is provided.
